Role Title: Platform Software Engineer
Employer: Leading Financial Services Group
Required Experience: 4–8 Years
Location: Mumbai

A Leading Financial Services Group is seeking a systems-driven Platform Software Engineer to join its core workstation framework team. In this mid-senior level role, you will own entire capabilities end-to-end, building a high-performance enterprise micro-frontend platform. Furthermore, you will engineer scalable systems that unify dozens of independently-built web applications into a single, cohesive experience for financial professionals. Consequently, this position is vital for driving user workflow optimization and enforcing architectural consistency across multiple repositories.
The Platform Software Engineer must operate within an AI-augmented development methodology where engineers are expected to think like system architects. Additionally, you will build dual-delivery component libraries using React 19 and Lit Web Components that ensure strict WCAG compliance. Therefore, the group is looking for an analytical coder who understands browser runtimes and cross-app messaging boundaries completely. If you want to manage foundational developer-facing SDKs, this position offers an exceptional technical path.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support scalable micro-frontend platform infrastructure and host shell runtime services.
- Develop dual-delivery component libraries using React 19 and Lit Web Components to ensure strict accessibility compliance.
- Configure critical platform services, covering distributed logging logs, personalization rules, and RBAC entitlements.
- Create powerful developer scaffolding tools, local playground sandboxes, and shared SDK packages for internal teams.
- Program backend microservices using Spring Boot, Java, PostgreSQL, Redis, and high-velocity DynamoDB models.
- Utilize AI tools and coding assistants collaboratively to accelerate data analysis and evidence-based testing.
- Decompose abstract business requirements into explicit data mapping specifications and clean API architectures.
- Audit runtime composition issues, module federation rules, and shadow DOM element bridging parameters.
- Participate in weekly collaborative architecture design clinics to vote on platform standards and code rules.
- Manage continuous deployment promotion gates, tracking merges across staging and internal QA environments.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related quantitative technical disciplines.
- 4-8 Years of successful professional experience within a software engineering or framework development role.
- Expert programming command over TypeScript, JavaScript, React 19, Lit 3, Vite, Webpack, and Node.js runtimes.
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals, including Shadow DOM life cycles, CSS tokens, and Tailwind architecture.
- Prior background working within financial services or highly regulated corporate environments is a plus.
