A Leading Global Consultancy is seeking an infrastructure-focused Azure Cloud Engineer to join its enterprise systems management practice in Mumbai. In this permanent technical role, you will take responsibility for designing, building, and operating resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. Furthermore, you will collaborate with developer teams to deliver secure landing zones that handle high-volume application workloads effortlessly. Consequently, this position is vital for ensuring absolute platform reliability, architectural governance, and strict cost optimization parameters.
The Azure Cloud Engineer must combine advanced scripting capabilities with an intrinsic understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles. Additionally, you will build version-controlled configurations using Bicep or Terraform to orchestrate multi-environment deployments across staging networks. Therefore, the group is looking for a detail-oriented systems expert who applies Zero Trust mechanisms to secure network firewalls. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain robust Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure using reference architectures.
- Configure compute resources, including Virtual Machines, scale sets, and complex load balancers.
- Manage virtual networks, subnets, custom network security groups, and Azure Front Door endpoints.
- Provision enterprise storage models, including Azure Blob, File, and high-velocity database queues.
- Author version-controlled Infrastructure as Code files utilizing ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform scripts.
- Automate repetitive platform operational tasks using PowerShell scripts, Azure CLI, and Python modules.
- Monitor platform metrics and isolate operational bugs using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Enforce secure enterprise landing zones using Azure Active Directory, RBAC rules, and Managed Identities.
- Enforce strict corporate governance metrics across directories using Azure Policy tools and Management Groups.
- Analyze cloud consumption patterns using Cost Management tools to recommend budget-optimization configurations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
- Minimum 5 Years of successful professional experience within cloud engineering or infrastructure support sectors.
- Mandatory possession of valid Microsoft Certification (AZ-104 Azure Administrator or AZ-305 Solutions Architect Expert).
- Expert programming command over automation scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) and IaC tools.
- Prior background working within regulated enterprise environments like banking or financial services is preferred.
