The Zonal Business Head must possess a dominant track record in large-scale team management across multiple geographical locations. Additionally, you will implement strategic business expansion initiatives and lead a multi-regional force of sales managers. Therefore, the organization is looking for a target-driven executive with strong corporate planning capabilities. If you have extensive experience managing retail credit life or sales groups, this position provides an elite executive tier.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive overall business performance, territory market penetration, and net premium revenue growth across the zone.
- Govern the strategic bancassurance partnership lifecycle with mapped banking institutions and partner branches.
- Lead, mentor, and track the daily performance metrics of Regional Managers and Cluster Managers.
- Ensure consistent achievement of target thresholds, branch activation benchmarks, and salesperson productivity metrics.
- Develop and deploy localized strategic sales blueprints and execute geographic market expansion plans.
- Oversee channel sales pipeline health, analyze tracking metrics, and report business MIS to senior boards.
- Build and maintain solid operational relationships with senior bank headers and regional key stakeholders.
- Enforce absolute team adherence with corporate internal control policies and statutory insurance regulations.
- Orchestrate continuous product training, sales motivation sessions, and field-level engagement campaigns for bank staff.
- Conduct periodic branch audits, macro market evaluations, and formal performance reviews across regions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate or full-time MBA from a recognized business school.
- 10+ years of successful professional experience within the Life Insurance sales landscape.
- Minimum of 5 years specifically leading large teams within a Bancassurance distribution channel.
- Proven capability managing multiple geographic branch networks and diverse sales forces concurrently.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills combined with advanced corporate presentation capabilities.
