Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming engineering materials and raw materials against purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials according to their technical specifications and safety norms.
  • Manage the timely issuance of materials to the production floor based on requisitions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular physical stock-taking and cycle counts to identify and report variances.
  • Liaise with the procurement team to highlight low stock levels and avoid stock-outs.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, organized, and safe manner following 5S principles.
  • Process material inward and outward documents and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team for the receipt and dispatch of materials.
  • Oversee the handling and disposal of scrap materials as per company policy.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Graduate or Diploma in any stream (Technical background is a plus).
  • 2–5 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management in an engineering firm.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP or Tally) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to inventory management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
