Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute detailed manual and automated test cases for complex insurance software systems.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to closure using industry-standard bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and provide early-stage feedback on design.
- Lead regression testing cycles to ensure that new code deployments do not impact existing functionalities.
- Conduct performance and stress testing to validate system stability under high-load scenarios.
- Maintain and update automated testing scripts to keep pace with rapid software delivery cycles.
- Prepare comprehensive QA reports for senior management to provide visibility into software health.
- Implement quality gates and standards to ensure consistent performance across diverse environments.
- Mentor junior QA analysts and contribute to the internal knowledge base on testing best practices.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, specifically within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong technical proficiency in automation tools (such as Selenium, JIRA, or Postman).
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical defects into actionable business insights.
