Sr Mobile Automation Tester

A Leading Technology Solutions Firm is seeking a strategic Sr Mobile Automation Tester to lead quality engineering across mobile banking and payment platforms. In this senior automation role, you will define and execute test automation strategies across React Native mobile applications and backend microservices. Furthermore, you will build and scale automated testing frameworks using Appium, Detox, and Java-based REST Assured suites. Consequently, this role is critical for accelerating release cycles and eliminating regression defects.

The Sr Mobile Automation Tester must combine extensive mobile framework design capabilities with deep technical expertise in Java API automation and CI/CD quality gates. Driving a proactive shift-left testing philosophy, you will participate in technical design reviews, conduct root-cause analyses, and mentor automation engineers. Therefore, the organization is looking for a technical QA leader who provides data-backed release recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Define, execute, and govern test automation strategies across mobile applications, Java microservices, and external APIs.
• Design, build, and enhance scalable mobile test automation frameworks using Appium, Detox, Espresso, and XCUITest.
• Develop robust backend API automation suites for Java microservices utilizing REST Assured, JSON schema validation, and mocks.
• Validate security tokens, OAuth 2.0 authentication, payment states, data integrity, and downstream banking integrations.
• Integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines with parallel test execution, automated reporting, and failure diagnostics.
• Drive shift-left quality initiatives through early requirement reviews, design evaluations, and defect prevention practices.
• Lead cross-tier defect triage meetings, root-cause investigations, and technical mentorship for automation engineers.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an allied technical branch.
• 6-8 Years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years dedicated to mobile test automation.
• Demonstrated success in designing and scaling mobile test automation frameworks for React Native across Android and iOS.
• Deep hands-on capability in Java programming and REST Assured for backend microservice and API automation.
• Strong experience integrating test automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and cloud device farms.
