Senior Executive / Deputy Manager – IT

We are currently looking for a Senior Executive / Deputy Manager – IT to serve as a Group Insurance Solutions Specialist. In this role, you will be based at our Mumbai Head Office. You will manage multiple projects involving core and peripheral applications. Consequently, you must collaborate closely with technical consultants to prepare functional specifications that align with user requirements.

The Senior Executive / Deputy Manager – IT role requires a deep understanding of the business domain. Furthermore, you will serve as a second-level escalation point for all application-related issues. Therefore, we are seeking a professional who can coordinate with cross-functional teams like actuarial and finance to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects involving both core and peripheral applications simultaneously.
• Collaborate with Analysts to prepare functional specifications aligned with user needs.
• Coordinate core technical enhancements and perform detailed impact analysis and code reviews.
• Lead technical architecture setup and ensure successful implementation of all design requirements.
• Work with cross-functional teams including business solutions, actuarial, product, and finance.
• Provide innovative suggestions to optimize application usage across the organization.
• Identify bugs and user errors while serving as a second-level escalation point for issues.
• Oversee Life Asia project delivery, product setup, and complex regulatory reporting tasks.
• Handle essential reporting activities that involve data extraction and writing SQL queries.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Educational Qualification: B.Tech or BE degree.
• Total Experience: 4 to 5 years of professional experience in the IT sector.
• Mandatory Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience as a Developer in Life Asia or Group Asia.

Technical Skills and Domain Knowledge

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Group Insurance domain is mandatory for this position.
• Strong technical knowledge of DB2 and SMART400 systems is required.
• Proficiency in developing Business Objects and COBOL programming is essential.
• Prior experience working closely with functional users to deliver technical solutions.
• High level of proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data management.
