Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) accounting and ensure accurate data entry.
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing processes to meet strict timelines.
- Prepare detailed financial schedules and support the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Ensure strict compliance with GST, TDS, and other relevant direct and indirect tax laws.
- Liaise with statutory and internal auditors to facilitate smooth audit cycles.
- Monitor cash flow requirements and coordinate with the treasury team for liquidity needs.
- Process vendor payments and manage the accounts payable function with high accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and company accounting policies.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to the Finance Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or M.Com / MBA Finance.
- 4–7 years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably in the insurance sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and IRDAI accounting guidelines.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
