A leading global consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Assistant Manager / Manager specializing in Reinsurance Pricing and Capital Modelling. In this dual-expertise role, you will lead end-to-end pricing across a diverse range of reinsurance structures, including Quota Share, Excess of Loss (XoL), and Stop Loss. Furthermore, you will manage complex capital requirements and Solvency II regulatory reporting for global clients. The Reinsurance & Capital Manager must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of treaty pricing and experience rating using frequency/severity and burning cost approaches. Additionally, you will handle large data sets for modelling premium features such as reinstatements and swing-rated deals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end reinsurance treaty pricing for various structures, including QS, per Risk XoL, and Agg XoL.
- Execute detailed exposure rating and experience rating using frequency/severity and burning cost methods.
- Manage large-scale data preparation and manipulation to support complex actuarial modelling.
- Model advanced pricing and loss-sensitive features such as reinstatements, AADs, and swing-rated deals.
- Derive and reconcile Loss Development Factors (LDFs) and loss development patterns for accurate forecasting.
- Enhance individual risk assessment efficiency through automated data manipulation and process improvements.
- Support Solvency II regulatory reporting and the calculation of various Capital Requirements.
- Perform Standard Formula calculations and manage internal capital modelling, including calibration and validation.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to provide technical input on capital reporting and risk mitigation.
- Ensure high standards of technical documentation for all pricing and capital modelling outputs.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Between 4 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in Reinsurance Pricing and Capital Modelling.
- Proven track record in handling (Re)insurance structures like Stop Loss and Indexed Layers.
- Demonstrable experience in internal capital model calibration and validation.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- In-depth understanding of reinsurance treaty pricing and experience-based rating techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations and global capital reporting standards.
- Expertise in managing and manipulating large datasets for complex actuarial modelling.
- Ability to derive and reconcile LDFs and technical development patterns.
- Familiarity with loss-sensitive features such as AADs and reinstatements.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to senior management and clients.
