QA Automation Engineer

A Leading Financial Technology Firm is seeking a highly technical QA Automation Engineer to lead its software validation and testing frameworks in Mumbai. In this key quality engineering position, you will design, build, and scale automated test architectures covering both UI layers and API endpoints. Key Responsibilities

• Validate web application system capability, scalability parameters, and performance indexes via automated tracks.
• Design, code, and maintain robust end-to-end automated testing frameworks using Playwright with Java.
• Construct and optimize automated test delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins infrastructure.
• Orchestrate and execute parallelized Playwright test suites securely inside containerized Docker environments.
• Automate comprehensive testing layers for RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoint systems alongside front-end UI flows.
• Partner directly with development and DevOps teams to achieve seamless, continuous integration gates.
• Troubleshoot script execution failures, debug automation bottlenecks, and enhance overall runtime testing velocities.
• Drive technical test automation initiatives, establishing execution best-practices across software lifecycles.
• Formulate clear defect tracking dashboards, test execution reports, and system validation metrics for leadership reviews.
• Conduct regression test reviews, system integration testing, and performance validation tracks on multi-market products.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an allied technical branch.
• 6+ Years of successful experience operating as a QA Automation Engineer, Test Architect, or DevOps Quality Specialist.
• Expert-level technical mastery writing automated test scripts utilizing Playwright with Java.
• Hands-on production experience managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins) and Docker containers.
• Deep functional understanding of backend API testing conventions, handling both RESTful and GraphQL architectures.
