A Leading Financial Services Group is seeking a highly skilled Private Markets Data Architect to join its investment technology division. In this strategic technical position, you will define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy for Private Markets, focusing on Real Assets and Private Credit domains. The Private Markets Data Architect must combine deep relational database modeling expertise with an automation-first mindset aligned to Data Mesh principles. Additionally, you will build conceptual, logical, and physical data schemas using BigQuery and dbt to map complicated alternative fund lifecycles. Key Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and own the enterprise data architecture blueprint for Private Markets investment operations.
- Design and support conceptual, logical, and physical data models across asset management business divisions.
- Build scalable domain-driven data platforms aligned precisely with modern Data Mesh architectural principles.
- Create and maintain robust Entity-Relationship Diagrams, comprehensive Data Dictionaries, and architectural artifacts.
- Model complex financial structures covering funds, asset portfolios, valuations, capital calls, distributions, and pipelines.
- Collaborate directly with Engineering, Analytics, Product, and Business squads to streamline data ingestion pipelines.
- Implement, update, and optimize corporate data warehouse solutions using Google BigQuery and dbt frameworks.
- Ensure all data architecture designs align perfectly with centralized business objectives and data governance standards.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint delivery planning meetings, and system design reviews.
- Utilize standard collaboration platforms, including Jira and Confluence, to document data schema modifications.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or highly quantitative domains.
- Minimum 7+ Years of successful professional experience within a Data Architecture or Data Modeling environment.
- Expert practical command over Dimensional Modeling, ER Modeling, Data Warehousing, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Hands-on technical mastery using BigQuery, dbt frameworks, advanced SQL query strings, and data governance models.
- Prior background operating within Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Private Markets is required.
