Mobile Automation Tester

A Leading Technology Solutions Firm is seeking a detailed-oriented Mobile Automation Tester to lead quality engineering across digital payments and open banking journeys. In this hands-on automation position, you will develop and execute automated test suites for React Native applications on Android and iOS devices. Furthermore, you will design robust API automation tests for Java-based microservices to validate business rules and transaction integrity. Consequently, this role is essential for ensuring reliable payment experiences for mobile customers.

The Mobile Automation Tester must combine solid mobile testing experience using Appium or Detox with practical API automation proficiency using REST Assured or Postman. Working closely within Agile delivery pods, you will integrate automated regression tests into CI/CD pipelines and validate builds across cloud device farms. Therefore, the group is looking for an analytical QA engineer who identifies defects early and optimizes testing efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for React Native mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
• Validate customer journeys including payment requests, split payments, open banking APIs, authentication, and authorization.
• Develop and maintain automated API tests for Java-based microservices using REST Assured or Postman/Newman.
• Validate REST API contracts, JSON payloads, transaction processing rules, database integrity, and error handling.
• Integrate automated regression test suites into CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Execute cross-platform automated test suites across emulators, simulators, physical mobile devices, and BrowserStack.
• Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, defect triage, root-cause investigations, and release-readiness assessments.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4-6 Years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years of dedicated hands-on mobile test automation.
• Demonstrated proficiency automating React Native mobile apps using Appium, Detox, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Strong automation scripting skills in JavaScript or TypeScript for mobile, alongside Java for backend API validation.
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs).
