Key Responsibilities

  • Perform expert phlebotomy and blood sample collection procedures across diverse patient age demographics.
  • Collect, label, process, and prepare blood, urine, sputum, and stool specimens for analytical evaluations.
  • Ensure proper, safe specimen handling, secure storage setups, and swift transportation loops to testing benches.
  • Execute routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, clinical biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and immunology.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine preventative maintenance on automated laboratory diagnostic analyzers.
  • Validate and document all patient test results accurately while immediately flagging critical panic values to medical personnel.
  • Conduct strict daily quality control checks and maintain precise calibration logs for lab equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs), infection control guidelines, and hazardous waste disposal standards.
  • Maintain highly organized laboratory logs, database archives, and audit-ready tracking sheets inside the LIS terminal.
  • Monitor inventory thresholds for essential chemical reagents, processing consumables, and testing kits.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT) from an approved institution.
  • 2-3 Years of successful professional experience within a high-volume hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting.
  • Valid technical registration or certification as required by applicable regional medical laboratory regulations.
  • Deep analytical mastery of clinical laboratory procedures, equipment calibrations, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent attention to detail paired with robust teamwork skills and willingness to work rotating roster shifts.
