A leading financial services group is seeking a proactive Manager – Risk & Controls to join its team in Thane. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and strengthening internal financial controls across the organization. The Manager – Risk & Controls must conduct periodic checks to assess risk exposure and identify gaps in existing control mechanisms. Additionally, you will manage statutory, IFC, and IRDA audits to meet evolving business requirements. Therefore, the company is looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7 to 8 years of experience. Key Responsibilities for the Manager – Risk & Controls
- Lead and mentor a 10-member team handling core financial processes and internal controls.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify gaps and strengthen the existing control framework.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls specifically for premium collection processes.
- Strengthen monitoring mechanisms to detect and rectify errors within premium refund workflows.
- Manage Statutory, IFC, and IRDA audits to ensure 100% adherence to regulatory standards.
- Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect new regulations.
- Establish a specialized control framework for NRI GST Refunds to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and drive the reduction of unclaimed amounts through effective reconciliation and reporting.
- Independently prepare and monitor departmental annual budgets to ensure maximum cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and control robustness.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Minimum of 7 to 8 years of professional experience in risk management and internal controls.
- Deep understanding of Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and modern risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements, including IRDA guidelines and GST laws.
- Proven expertise in managing Statutory, IFC, and Regulatory audits for large financial institutions.
- Proficiency in financial process development and the creation of detailed SOP documentation.
