Key Responsibilities for the Manager – ORM
- Manage the end-to-end incident management process by ensuring timely recording and investigation of risks.
- Monitor closure timelines for risk incidents and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all queries related to operational risk reporting guidelines.
- Collaborate with SPOCs to perform comprehensive root cause analysis (RCA) for resolution.
- Maintain an accurate database of operational losses and incidents to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic risk dashboards and presentations for senior management.
- Coordinate the completion of RCSA exercises and track action plans for identified control weaknesses.
- Review and develop RCSA questionnaires across various business functions to stay current.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments of critical operational processes and recommend mitigation actions.
- Provide training and support to functional Risk Champions on risk awareness and ORM processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience within the Life Insurance industry.
- Proven ability to manage incident reporting systems and maintain complex risk databases.
- Strong understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) methodologies.
- Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational process failures.
- Excellent communication skills for influencing the adoption of best practices in risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with internal governance requirements and key risk indicators (KRIs).
