The Manager – Individual Pricing must effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Product, IT, and Finance to ensure successful product closure. Additionally, you will mentor junior actuarial resources and contribute to the development of robust technical documentation. Therefore, the company is looking for a professional with at least 7 years of actuarial experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate pricing models for individual life insurance products.
  • Ensure all actuarial cash-flow projections and pricing inputs are reliable and well-audited.
  • Provide strategic feedback on product features to create competitive and compliant designs.
  • Lead the preparation and review of regulatory filing documents for submission to IRDAI.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations for system implementation and UAT of new product features.
  • Liaise with reinsurers for product support, quotes, and treaty documentation.
  • Interact with experience analysis teams to arrive at accurate and realistic pricing assumptions.
  • Monitor product profitability and recommend repricing or adjustments as needed.
  • Mentor junior actuarial staff to build internal technical capabilities.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are delivered with speed and technical accuracy.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Qualified Actuary or close to qualification (CT papers plus SP1/SP2/CP1).
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in life insurance, with at least 2 years in individual pricing.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in MS Excel (including VBA) and Prophet software.
  • Deep understanding of actuarial principles and IRDAI product filing guidelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment.
