Manager – Finance (SQL)

A leading life insurance company is seeking a skilled Manager – Finance (SQL) to join its digital innovation team. The Manager – Finance (SQL) must demonstrate strong proficiency in PL/SQL programming, including the development of procedures, functions, and triggers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure maximum performance and system scalability.
• Perform query tuning and performance optimization by analyzing and interpreting execution plans.
• Handle comprehensive data validation and error handling to ensure absolute data consistency.
• Support various stakeholders across the organization with their specific database-related requirements.
• Debug and resolve critical production issues related to database code and data workflows promptly.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure all developments adhere to strict coding standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for all database solutions and optimizations.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Approximately 3 to 4 years of professional work experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining database solutions within a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in handling production-level database debugging and performance troubleshooting.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).
• Expert knowledge of stored procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, and database normalization.
• Solid understanding of indexes, joins, and schema design for efficient data warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data validation.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts is preferred; knowledge of Python and visualization tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional finance teams.
