Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor global exposure accumulations for property, energy, and marine portfolios.
- Utilize catastrophe modeling software (RMS/AIR) to simulate loss scenarios and quantify risk.
- Develop and maintain exposure dashboards for real-time risk monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with underwriters to assess the impact of new business on existing portfolio concentrations.
- Lead data cleansing and preparation efforts to ensure robust and high-quality model inputs.
- Provide critical exposure data and loss estimates for the annual reinsurance renewal process.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and validation of model assumptions to ensure realistic outputs.
- Partner with IT to enhance GIS and data visualization capabilities for risk management.
- Stay updated on emerging risks such as climate change, cyber, and secondary perils.
- Present exposure insights to senior leadership and the risk committee to drive strategic decisions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Geography (GIS), or a related quantitative field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Exposure Management or Catastrophe Modeling.
- Proficiency in RMS (RiskLink) or AIR (Touchstone) platforms.
- Strong technical skills in SQL and MS Excel for complex data manipulation.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical risk data to non-technical stakeholders.
