The Junior Abinitio Engineer must combine hands-on Abinitio processing experience with solid Unix/Linux command-line capabilities. Working in collaboration with product, platform, and operations teams, you will assist in developing PySpark scripts, AWS Glue flows, and REST API services within cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
- Construct, optimize, and maintain enterprise ETL pipelines with hands-on development in Abinitio.
- Analyze technical issues, interpret complex business data flows, and provide actionable design inputs for ETL processes.
- Support cloud modernization initiatives by building scalable ETL flows using PySpark and AWS Glue.
- Contribute to the development of RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices across cloud computing platforms.
- Execute Unix/Linux commands for script execution, file management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in integration testing, pipeline debugging, CI/CD deployments, and operational production support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product, platform, and operations teams to ensure reliable data pipeline delivery.
- Work in shift schedules and provide rotational weekend support to maintain continuous system health.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 4-6 Years of core experience operating as an ETL Engineer, Data Developer, or Abinitio Specialist.
- Strong hands-on experience handling Abinitio platforms, large data pipelines, and Unix/Linux operations.
- Demonstrated technical familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud data tooling (PySpark, AWS Glue).
- Beneficial exposure to containers (Docker/Kubernetes), microservices, API development, and CI/CD pipelines.
