Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple related software application tracks involving core insurance platforms and peripheral IT models.
  • Liaise directly with technical consultants and business users to map functional specifications with corporate goals.
  • Coordinate and develop core technical enhancements, including comprehensive code reviews and architectural setups.
  • Partner with cross-functional units such as actuarial, product, and finance to ensure successful feature deployment.
  • Provide innovative suggestions to optimize application usage, reduce transaction friction, and increase data accuracy.
  • Serve as the definitive second-level technical escalation point for code bugs, user errors, and alteration tracking.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle for core Life Asia applications and platform updates.
  • Execute high-volume database reporting activities, extracting and manipulating complex tables using advanced SQL queries.
  • Maintain up-to-date domain knowledge regarding life insurance product configurations and setup baselines.
  • Utilize Business Objects and database tools to design scannable management dashboard interfaces for functional leaders.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • B.Tech or B.E. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant technical disciplines.
  • 5-8 Years of total professional experience within a software engineering or application support environment.
  • Mandatory minimum of 3-4 years of direct development experience operating within a Life Asia platform framework.
  • Expert practical command over SMART400 systems, Business Objects, COBOL programming, and SQL database querying.
  • Comprehensive domain knowledge of Life Insurance business logic and product configuration setups is mandatory.
