A Leading Life Insurance Company is seeking a detailed-oriented IFRS Actuarial Manager to join its corporate financial reporting team in Mumbai. In this key valuation role, you will support quarterly and annual IFRS 17 valuation and disclosure activities. Furthermore, you will perform deep-dive variance analyses on Best Estimate Liabilities (BEL), Risk Adjustment, Contractual Service Margin (CSM), and Profit & Loss movements. Working closely with Finance, IT, and external audit teams, you will drive process automation, model testing, and assumption updates from scratch. Therefore, the organization is looking for an analytical professional who delivers precise management reports and regulatory disclosures under tight deadlines. If you want to advance your career inside a fast-growing life insurance vertical, this role offers an ideal path.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly and annual IFRS 17 actuarial valuation, financial close, and reporting execution tracks.
  • Analyze and explain key movement variances across BEL, Risk Adjustment, Contractual Service Margin (CSM), and P&L.
  • Ensure maximum accuracy of actuarial outputs through rigorous validation checks, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders during monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.
  • Support actuarial assumption updates, model enhancements, functional system testing, and process workflow optimization.
  • Prepare concise management reports, regulatory disclosure schedules, and comprehensive audit documentation.
  • Drive process efficiency and automation initiatives across core actuarial valuation and financial reporting frameworks.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Passed a minimum of 4 professional actuarial exams from a recognized actuarial institute.
  • 3-4 Years of actuarial experience within Life Insurance, Reinsurance, or Actuarial Consulting.
  • Hands-on experience in IFRS 17 reporting, Statutory Valuation, or Shareholder Reporting.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, RAFM, AXIS) combined with advanced Excel skills; SQL, Python, or Power BI knowledge is a plus.
