Guidewire Software Engineer

A Leading General Insurance Company is seeking a detail-oriented Guidewire Software Engineer to join its core Claims platform team. In this hands-on engineering position, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications across ClaimCenter and Digital Application environments. Furthermore, you will write custom code, execute unit test cases using G-Unit frameworks, and debug complex application issues. Consequently, this role is crucial for delivering high-performance claim processing tools and maintaining application stability.

The Guidewire Software Engineer must combine solid technical scripting experience in Gosu with a strong understanding of database structures and integration architectures. Working in a collaborative agile environment, you will participate in code reviews, enforce Guidewire Cloud Assurance standards, and provide production support. Therefore, the group is looking for a proactive problem-solver who participates comfortably in rotational on-call support coverage. Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain software modules across ClaimCenter, Edge APIs, and Digital Applications.
• Author clean code, build unit test cases using G-Unit, and execute unit and integration testing tasks.
• Enforce Guidewire coding standards and cloud compliance guidelines to maximize system maintainability.
• Provide technical production support, perform root cause analysis on incidents, and resolve operational issues.
• Configure system data models, user interface components, and custom business rules using Gosu scripting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to guarantee continuous system availability outside of standard working hours.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 Years of development experience operating on Guidewire cloud platforms and applications.
• Hands-on technical proficiency in Gosu scripting, Edge APIs, Guidewire UI configurations, and Data Models.
• Practical experience working with SQL databases (Oracle/SQL Server) and continuous CI/CD setups.
• Strong domain understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations; Guidewire certification is preferred.
