The Group Valuation Manager must combine advanced mathematical validation depth with extensive experience leading group valuation functions. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the data checking workflows performed on high-volume monthly actuarial group valuation data streams.
- Own and execute the end-to-end monthly statutory valuation cycle for all group insurance product lines.
- Manage the timely compilation of annual IRDAI regulatory reporting ARA documentation, tracking DD, DDD, NLB, and LB forms.
- Review and approve the final text parameters for the annual Actuarial Report and Abstract (AAAR) submissions.
- Oversee comprehensive mortality tracking studies and experience data sets specifically tailored for group insurance portfolios.
- Perform and validate complex solvency margin calculations and capital adequacy projections across group verticals.
- Optimize corporate data mapping rules and specialized actuarial framework scripts utilizing Prophet, DCS, and SQL.
- Collaborate directly with Finance, Risk, and Investment departments to align actuarial models with broader business goals.
- Provide technical mentoring to junior actuarial professionals and draft valuation standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a highly quantitative business discipline.
- Successful professional clearance and completion of a minimum of 8 professional actuarial exams from an accredited institute.
- 6-7 years of core experience operating explicitly within the group valuation wing of a recognized life insurance firm.
- Advanced technical mastery handling actuarial modeling software packages including Prophet, DCS, and SQL query structures.
- Superb leadership traits, project management capacity, time management skills, and technical report-writing capabilities.
