Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day business-as-usual tasks for shareholders, regulatory, and statutory reporting divisions.
- Compile and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory returns via official platform portals.
- Prepare timely Monthly New Business reports, Life Council datasets, and monthly management MIS sheets.
- Process Life and F&A BAP returns in strict accordance with defined financial calendar timelines.
- Coordinate half-yearly website updates and newspaper Public Disclosures according to statutory rules.
- Monitor month-end book closure workflows, ledger reconciliations, and risk control matrices closely.
- Demonstrate strict maker-checker controls, compile performance reviews, and analyze transaction balances.
- Coordinate with external auditors and corporate stakeholders to ensure smooth, friction-free statutory audits.
- Provide detailed verification tables to resolve auditor queries promptly and obtain clean audit reports.
- Support non-BAU strategic finance projects and ad-hoc analytics tracks as dictated by business needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- 2-3 Years of successful professional experience within a financial reporting unit in the life insurance industry.
- Expert practical knowledge of MS Excel for complex spreadsheet processing and data reconciliation.
- Working functional knowledge of SQL database architectures for data extraction is an added advantage.
- Strong oral and written communication skills paired with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
