In this high-visibility buy-side role, you will take absolute responsibility for evaluating corporations using fundamental valuation structures and tracking market updates. Furthermore, you will design and test systematic equity investment strategies using advanced statistical models and factor metrics. Consequently, this position is vital for driving alpha generation, analyzing IPO trade ideas, and optimizing fund manager decision loops.

The Equity Research Analyst must possess an intricate data-driven understanding of financial statements, revenue forecasting, and margin tracking. Additionally, you will utilize technical programming tools like R or Python to perform mathematical back-testing over historical quantitative portfolios. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate companies requested by Fund Managers based on rigorous fundamental and relative valuation structures.
  • Analyze corporate financial statements meticulously, checking P&L trends, balance sheets, and cash flow cycles.
  • Build, calibrate, and optimize granular valuation models utilizing DCF frameworks and ratio calculations.
  • Forecast corporate revenues, profit margins, quarterly earnings metrics, and future cash flow parameters.
  • Design, build, and test systematic equity investment strategies using factor modeling techniques.
  • Perform rigorous quantitative back-testing runs over rule-based strategies using statistical toolkits.
  • Examine upcoming initial public offering (IPO) parameters and formulate structural trade recommendation notes.
  • Interact regularly with industry experts to secure an informational edge across tactical investment ideas.
  • Coordinate with lead managers and corporate registrars to gather data regarding upcoming IPO issues.
  • Deliver clear data visualization summaries and custom presentations directly to the Chief Investment Officer.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Commerce or Management Graduate (possession of CA or CFA credentials with a strong academic record is preferred).
  • Minimum 2 Years of successful professional experience operating on a buy-side or sell-side research desk.
  • Expert mastery of financial statement analysis, spreadsheet data modeling, and valuation parameters.
  • Advanced technical programming proficiency using R or Python languages for back-testing applications.
  • Excellent networking skills combined with a strong professional connect across corporate market spaces.
