Role Title: Data & Streaming Product Owner
Employer: Leading Banking Institution
Required Experience: 8–10 Years
Location: Hyderabad
Date published: 3 July 2026
A Leading Banking Institution is seeking a highly strategic Data & Streaming Product Owner to bridge the gap between data visualization and real-time event streaming systems. In this unique hybrid product role, you will define the technology roadmap for corporate reporting layers and event-driven data flows across global markets. Furthermore, you will drive platform adoption by cultivating relationships with internal business units and converting complex needs into multi-use dashboards. Consequently, this role is vital for maximizing data asset reuse and scaling pipeline delivery velocities.
The Data & Streaming Product Owner must combine a deep understanding of Kafka or Pub/Sub architectures with direct exposure to modern BI tools. Operating as the voice of the customer within an agile framework, you will prioritize competing backlogs and coordinate engineering milestones. Therefore, the bank is looking for an evangelist who turns complex data requests into scalable, standardized products rather than single-use configurations. If you want to direct enterprise data strategy across a cross-functional landscape, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end product life cycle, requirement prioritizing tracks, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Construct and articulate a clear, ambitious long-term product roadmap for data visualization and event streaming platforms.
- Partner with global business units to document reporting demands and standardize multi-market dashboard profiles.
- Serve as a product evangelist, demonstrating data analytics capabilities to expand service footprints bank-wide.
- Own the intake and priority ranking workflows for new application use cases built over core Event Streaming Platforms.
- Deconstruct high-level streaming architectures into clear user stories and deliver reliable project estimations to engineering teams.
- Liaise directly between business units and core platform engineers to create a secure requirement feedback loop.
- Promote the adoption of streaming solutions and identify high-value event-driven opportunities across regional territories.
- Enforce consistent acceptance criteria and document data definitions using Jira and Confluence frameworks.
- Manage trade-offs and resolve priority deadlocks across cross-functional tech squads to maximize value delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or highly quantitative streams.
- 8-10 Years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership within data-centric enterprise systems.
- Direct technical familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Qlik) and event streaming architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub mechanisms).
- Expert business analysis depth, backlog prioritization skills, and practical command over Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Demonstrated relationship-building traits with proven ability to influence decisions across distributed global markets.
