Cutover Manager

A Leading Professional Services Group is seeking a highly disciplined Cutover Manager to join its technology transformation practice in Chennai. In this production-critical release role, you will take absolute responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing end-to-end cutover activities for enterprise system migrations. Furthermore, you will engineer detailed deployment schedules to ensure seamless transitions into live operational environments. Consequently, this position is essential for minimizing business disruption and shielding the organization from structural operational risks.

The Cutover Manager must combine meticulous documentation habits with a calm, analytical approach to real-time incident resolution during tight implementation windows. Additionally, you will coordinate extensively across geographically distributed infrastructure, database, and application engineering teams to validate technical readiness. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, orchestrate, and execute end-to-end cutover activities for complex software implementations and migrations.
• Construct, schedule, and track granular minute-by-minute cutover runbooks against aggressive project timelines.
• Manage technical interdependencies, cutover risk parameters, and delivery milestones throughout the release lifecycle.
• Partner directly with Project Managers, software developers, business users, and external stakeholders to verify readiness.
• Validate successful completion of pre-cutover and post-cutover tasks including server backups and data migration scripts.
• Direct live issue triage teams during critical weekend implementation windows to accelerate system validation paths.
• Enforce absolute deployment compliance with corporate change management policies and statutory regulatory criteria.
• Compile precise deployment dashboards, executive status updates, and comprehensive post-mortem lessons learned reports.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative branch.
• 5+ Years of core experience operating in a Cutover Lead, Release Manager, or Technical Deployment Coordinator capacity.
• Proven track record managing complex data migrations, system validations, and infrastructure cutover execution tracks.
• Deep functional command over enterprise change management platforms, rollback planning, and dependency mapping.
• Prior background supporting large-scale ERP, Core Banking, Insurance IT, or cloud migration transformations is preferred.
