Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end CAT (Catastrophe) Modelling with a specific focus on portfolio risk assessment.
  • Utilize industry-leading platforms such as RMS Moody’s RiskLink or AIR Verisk Touchstone for daily modelling tasks.
  • Generate and interpret detailed CAT Modelling reports to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Utilize SQL to understand, execute, and debug mid-level to complex database queries effectively.
  • Apply advanced Microsoft Excel techniques for sophisticated data manipulation and visualization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the development of reporting dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of CAT Modelling fundamentals, including backend data structures.
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy in data reporting to support the company’s risk management strategy.
  • Manage work deliverables efficiently within a hybrid working model as per company policy.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Science.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in CAT Modelling, preferably within Portfolio Modelling.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality analytics in an insurance or reinsurance environment.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Must-Have: Proficiency in RMS Moody’s RiskLink, Risk Modeler, or AIR Verisk Touchstone.
  • Must-Have: Intermediate SQL skills with the ability to handle complex queries independently.
  • Must-Have: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
  • Good-to-Have: Working knowledge of Power BI or other Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Good-to-Have: Strong understanding of the fundamental framework and backend of CAT models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
