A Leading Financial Technology Firm is seeking a highly skilled AWS Oracle DBA to optimize and manage its critical application infrastructure in Bengaluru. In this production-critical database role, you will take absolute responsibility for the performance, stability, and high availability of cloud-hosted database environments. Furthermore, you will leverage advanced system diagnostics to proactively eliminate processing bottlenecks and lock contentions. The AWS Oracle DBA must combine deep Oracle 19c internal architecture expertise with hands-on command of public cloud management platforms. Working within an agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional software engineers to navigate cloud limitations and implement custom workflow workarounds. Therefore, the organization is looking for a proactive technical professional who manages automated patching cycles and disaster recovery setups comfortably. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor database health, memory utilization, storage capacities, and I/O performance across cloud networks.
- Perform advanced performance tuning, including SQL tuning, index optimization, and database execution plan analysis.
- Isolate and resolve complex system bottlenecks, concurrency locking issues, and database contention anomalies.
- Implement proactive system monitoring boundaries and automated alerting metrics using Oracle RDS and AWS native tooling.
- Plan and execute Oracle database patching tracks and version upgrades to secure production applications.
- Identify compatibility risks and dependency roadblocks prior to upgrades, coordinating resolutions alongside developers.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support infrastructure for database-related availability and stability incidents.
- Execute detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on service interruptions and deploy automated preventive measures.
- Manage database backup and recovery operations securely using native recovery concepts and automated scripts.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an allied technical branch.
- 5+ Years of experience operating as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting Oracle 19c and above environments.
- Proven production engineering experience maintaining Oracle databases hosted specifically on the AWS RDS platform.
- Technical mastery handling performance tuning mechanisms including AWR, ADDM, and advanced PL/SQL programming.
- Beneficial script automation experience utilizing PowerShell, Bash scripting, or Jenkins pipelines inside regulated domains.
