Autocartonator Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled Autocartonator Operator for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing firm. This role is responsible for managing automated cartoning machines to package products securely, ensuring all outputs meet strict production standards. The successful candidate will oversee the entire process, from initial setup to final quality checks.

The Autocartonator Operator position requires a technical mindset and a high degree of precision to maintain a continuous production flow. You will be responsible for machine adjustments, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, and adhering to rigorous safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automatic cartoning machines to ensure a continuous and efficient production flow.
• Perform machine set-up and changeovers for various product sizes, including cartons and leaflets.
• Conduct In-Process Quality Checks (IPQC) to verify leaflet insertion, sealing quality, and coding accuracy.
• Identify and resolve minor machine malfunctions while reporting major technical issues to supervisors.
• Maintain detailed batch and production records while ensuring the work area meets GMP and safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Experience and Technical Skills

• Generally 1-4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging, specifically with blister or carton machines.
• Proficiency in operating PLC-based packaging machines and a strong understanding of mechanical components.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety protocols.

Education and Soft Skills

• ITI or Diploma in Pharmacy is preferred.
• Relevant practical experience may be considered alongside other qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
