Key Responsibilities
- Deliver complex change requests and oversee the continuous development of Prophet software.
- Lead the implementation of US-GAAP and IFRS-17 reporting standards within the Prophet environment.
- Model new products in Prophet while ensuring accuracy and alignment with product specifications.
- Perform end-to-end With-profit and Asset share modelling for diverse insurance portfolios.
- Conduct rigorous quality checks on the Prophet model to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain a strict audit trail and implement quality control measures for all model updates.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to assist in smooth model releases that meet user expectations.
- Groom and train junior team members to enhance their technical Prophet modelling skills.
- Support other ad-hoc actuarial requirements and cross-functional reporting tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Candidate should have completed at least 5 actuarial papers (as per the old curriculum).
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the actuarial domain.
- Proven experience in handling Prophet model change requests and new product developments.
- Experience in a life insurance company or consultancy with a focus on technical modelling.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Prophet software and actuarial modelling concepts.
- Knowledge of US-GAAP and IFRS-17 implementation within actuarial systems.
- Familiarity with audit and control concepts to ensure high-quality model governance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder management and collaboration.
- Ability to partner effectively with colleagues across multiple business groups and corporate areas.
- Analytical expertise to check results and identify technical discrepancies in complex models.
