A leading life insurance company is seeking a motivated AM – Finance & Accounts to join its growing team in Bangalore. In this tactical role, you will support the Finance & Accounts Head in executing daily financial and investment operations. The AM – Finance & Accounts must assist in the preparation of IFRS financial statements and regulatory reports for IRDAI. Additionally, you will oversee essential taxation tasks including TDS computations and GST return filings. Therefore, the company is looking for a Chartered Accountant with up to 5 years of experience. Key Responsibilities for the AM – Finance & Accounts
- Manage daily collections-related accounting and support investment-related reconciliations.
- Handle diverse financial disbursements including vendor, policyholder, and commission payments.
- Perform accurate and timely multiple reconciliation statements for various organizational purposes.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly MIS reports with detailed analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of the annual business plan against actual financial performance.
- Review and provide detailed commentary on financial statements in line with regulatory norms.
- Ensure accurate computation, deduction, and timely payment of TDS and GST obligations.
- Prepare and submit IRDAI regulatory reports and returns with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Support audit planning and coordinate with auditors to initiate necessary action-taken reports (ATRs).
- Implement strict financial controls based on the clear segregation of duties across departments.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with up to 5 years of professional experience.
- Relevant experience in Finance & Accounts within the insurance or financial services sector is preferred.
- Good understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and practical knowledge of IFRS 17.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, specifically in advanced Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ERP software and specialized insurance accounting systems.
- In-depth knowledge of taxation laws, including GST filing and TDS reconciliation processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
