Key Responsibilities for Actuarial – Risk Consulting
- Lead actuarial assignments related to appraisal valuation, embedded value, and product development.
- Design appropriate actuarial models that incorporate specific client product features and IRDAI regulations.
- Develop effective working relationships with key client contacts through clear and robust communication.
- Provide high-quality technical challenge to identify and resolve complex issues faced by team members.
- Collaborate with assurance, IT, and transaction teams to deliver integrated consulting solutions.
- Lend support to specialist research aimed at providing key insights for clients and consultants.
- Develop cutting-edge proposals to win new engagements and expand the firm’s client base.
- Share technical knowledge effectively by contributing regularly to the firm’s internal knowledge database.
- Raise the firm’s external profile by writing technical articles and presenting at industry forums.
- Maintain deep technical expertise in capital calculation, risk management, and shareholder reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Qualified in Actuarial science or close to qualification from a recognized body.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience in the actuarial space.
- Good working knowledge of actuarial concepts, methodologies, and IRDAI/IAI regulations.
- Proven experience in actuarial modelling using specialized software such as Prophet, Axis, or MG-ALFA.
- Technical understanding of IFRS 17, US GAAP, and Economic Capital frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to non-actuarial stakeholders.
