Key Responsibilities

  • Improve and develop algorithms and matrix tables related to insurance rate changes to meet specific user needs.
  • Program, test, debug, and maintain complex pricing formulas and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Collaborate directly with cross-functional Actuarial and IT squads to manage project schedules and deliver milestone status reports.
  • Provide detailed system analyses, suggestions, and architectural evaluations to ensure optimal processing efficiency.
  • Formulate structured recommendations to drive continuous improvements across system development and maintenance processes.
  • Apply advanced data manipulation scripts using SAS, SQL, and VBA to ensure high data accuracy and validation standards.
  • Lead requirement gathering phases, translating abstract discussions with project owners and sponsors into clear tasks.
  • Incorporate domain insights spanning Pricing, Reserving, Exposure Management, and Risk Management into pipeline designs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Graduate degree qualification, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • 4+ Years of successful professional experience handling general insurance data, analytics, or pricing architectures.
  • Proven technical programming mastery in SAS, SQL, and VBA macro configurations paired with excellent data-quality practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, project management tools, and a strong understanding of debugging conventions.
  • Beneficial: Professional clearance of formal Actuarial Exams or exposure to Machine Learning model implementations.
