Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and deliver required Prophet models and actuarial reporting files to corporate stakeholders.
- Set up new insurance products on Prophet applications and validate functionality through exhaustive cash flow reviews.
- Ensure all technical model builds are fully compatible with evolving regulatory reporting guidelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional headers to capture model requirements and provide ongoing Prophet technical support.
- Identify, test, and execute optimization enhancements to improve overall model processing and process velocity.
- Govern an accurate, well-documented, and comprehensive modeling process, including executing annual parameter updates.
- Participate in peak annual regulatory reporting, preparing inputs for the Appointed Actuary’s Annual Report.
- Compile required data cuts for the structural Actuarial Report and Abstract in accordance with legal timelines.
- Adhere strictly to internal process controls, valuation audits, quality checks, and innovation matrix rules.
- Support ad-hoc actuarial valuation projects and custom stress testing models as directed by corporate boards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree qualification in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Finance.
- 4-6 Years of successful experience within an actuarial modeling or financial reporting unit at a life insurance firm.
- Clearance of a minimum of 8+ actuarial papers under the current recognized professional institute curriculum standards.
- Expert, hands-on programming execution capabilities using Prophet software, DCS, SQL databases, and MS Office.
- Strong analytical thinking skills paired with excellent process governance and a collaborative mindset.
