A Leading Banking Group is seeking a visionary Head – Regulatory Strategy & Reporting to join its corporate governance division. Additionally, you will coordinate across Risk, Finance, and Legal verticals to lead process modifications during new regulatory implementations. Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and direct the bank’s regulatory engagement strategy in line with central banking mandates.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely creation of all statutory returns, prudential disclosures, and central bank filings.
  • Lead the implementation of advanced regulatory projects, including transition metrics for evolving capitalization rules.
  • Partner with Risk and Finance leads to model asset-liability matching (ALM) indices and structural liquidity positions.
  • Act as the primary interface for regulatory inspectors during onsite audits and offsite supervisory reviews.
  • Analyze newly issued circulars and supervisor rules to compile detailed technical impact memos for the Board.
  • Enforce robust control frameworks across data aggregation streams to ensure zero reporting discrepancies.
  • Design and present regulatory risk dashboards to the Management Committee and Risk Boards.
  • Provide strategic risk-return insights to business units regarding the capital consumption of new products.
  • Mentor and develop a highly specialized unit of regulatory reporting professionals and legal consultants.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Master’s in Finance, or a PhD in Economics from a global institution.
  • 12 to 15 years of institutional banking experience, with at least 5 years leading a regulatory affairs or statutory reporting team.
  • Flawless understanding of central bank guidelines, macro-prudential regulations, and accounting architectures.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation capabilities to interact comfortably at the CXO and Board level.
  • Proven tracking record running complex data-governance transformations inside tier-1 financial platforms.
