Key Responsibilities for the Azure Cloud Operations Manager

  • Manage Azure load balancer solutions, including Layer 7 Application Gateways and Layer 4 load balancers.
  • Create and administer Virtual Networks, subnets, and Network Security Groups to ensure environment security.
  • Configure and troubleshoot complex VPN connections such as Site-to-Site, Point-to-Site, and Vnet-peering.
  • Integrate Web Applications with virtual networks to facilitate communication with On-premise systems.
  • Write YAML code to convert Azure classic pipelines to modern YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage deployments on AKS clusters and troubleshoot critical issues like pod crashes and node restarts.
  • Implement Kubernetes disaster recovery (DR) strategies to ensure high availability of cloud services.
  • Configure and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect against SQL injection and DDoS attacks.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing of cloud environments.
  • Prepare detailed management reports on remediation plans, progress, and emerging cloud infrastructure issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • BE-IT or B.Tech degree with 9 to 10 years of experience in Azure Cloud Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience managing deployments on Azure Cloud complete solutions, including Firewalls and AKS.
  • Broad understanding of cloud service models including IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage both classic and ARM portals while effectively using PowerShell for service management.
  • Strong understanding of securing AKS cluster service endpoints and the broader CI/CD pipeline.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect or Administrator) are highly preferred.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Experience with network topology and troubleshooting DNS communication using tools like telnet and nslookup.
  • Expertise in developing self-managed ingress controllers and Application Gateway Ingress Controllers (AGIC).
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Storage, Key Vaults, Azure AD, and Recovery Service Vaults.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors for application vulnerability remediation and infrastructure updates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficient cloud migration strategies.
