A leading global consultancy is seeking an ambitious Insurance Risk Advisory – Senior Associate 2 to join its Actuarial & Insurance Management Solutions (AIMS) team in Mumbai. In this role, you will help major financial organizations navigate complex risk and control frameworks while managing critical finance change programmes. Furthermore, you will provide hands-on support across accounting advisory and governance to help clients solve important business problems. The Senior Associate 2 must act as a subject matter expert in financial controls, specifically regarding SOx and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). Additionally, you will support finance transformation projects driven by new reporting standards such as IFRS, UK GAAP, or Long Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTIs). Therefore, the company is looking for a Chartered Accountant with technical knowledge of the insurance market and strong audit experience. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, client-facing internal control and finance transformation projects.
- Engage daily with client stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of complex assignments.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for SOx and ICFR frameworks across various engagements.
- Support the design, transformation, and optimization of financial risk and control programs.
- Lead finance change initiatives driven by organizational shifts or new global reporting standards.
- Manage project progress and budgets while working within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Liaise with internal specialists in risk modelling, regulation, and IT to provide integrated services.
- Execute GAAP conversions and reporting rationalization projects for insurance and banking clients.
- Prepare detailed review reports and recommend remediations to optimize risk mitigation.
- Contribute to sub-propositions within the advisory team to support broader business objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must possess a chartered or certified accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or international equivalent).
- Proven technical knowledge and practical experience within the Insurance market.
- Demonstrable experience in IFRS, UK GAAP, and/or US GAAP reporting and audit.
- Strong background in SOx compliance and evaluating the design of financial controls.

- Expertise in financial reporting functions and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying control gaps and recommending process optimizations.
