The Senior Manager will focus on building robust and efficient processes for VNB reporting while significantly strengthening internal documentation. Additionally, you will support the preparation of critical regulatory and internal risk reports, including Solvency Stress Testing and Risk-Based Capital (RBC). Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the end-to-end VNB reporting process and month-on-month movement analysis.
- Build and maintain robust, efficient processes for VNB reporting to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Strengthen departmental documentation and internal process controls for all risk reporting activities.
- Support the preparation of complex Regulatory Reporting and Internal risk reports for senior leadership.
- Lead technical assessments for Solvency Stress Testing and Economic Capital frameworks.
- Support the transition and reporting requirements for the upcoming Risk-Based Capital (RBC) regime.
- Conduct detailed Asset-Liability Management (ALM) analysis, specifically focusing on duration matching.
- Perform comprehensive cashflow matching to ensure the organization’s financial resilience.
- Manage the computation of the Cost of Residual Non-Hedgeable Risk (CRNHR) for actuarial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align risk reporting with broader business and financial strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Significant progress in professional actuarial exams from a recognized international body.
- Proven experience in risk reporting, VNB analysis, or financial reporting within the life insurance industry.
- Extensive experience in managing complex actuarial processes and maintaining high-quality documentation.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of VNB reporting, Economic Capital, and RBC frameworks.
- Proficiency in ALM techniques, including duration analysis and strategic cashflow matching.
- Expertise in Solvency Stress Testing and identifying critical risk drivers for life insurance portfolios.
- Ability to compute and analyze complex metrics like the Cost of Residual Non-Hedgeable Risk.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret month-on-month business movements.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical risk reports to internal and external stakeholders.
