The Institutional Sales Trader will focus on obtaining new empanelments from Mutual Funds, Banks, and Insurance companies. Additionally, you will engage inactive or dormant institutions using high-quality research reports and fresh investment ideas to revive order flow. Key Responsibilities
- Maximize captive broking business from Group companies through strategic engagement and service excellence.
- Align dealing and research teams with Group Institutional clients to provide superior trade execution.
- Identify potential institutional clients and secure new empanelments from Banks, Mutual Funds, and PSUs.
- Deliver detailed presentations highlighting differentiated value propositions, new products, and research ideas.
- Allocate focused dealing support to Non-group clients to enhance credibility and exceed peer performance.
- Maintain and enhance institutional relationships by sharing periodic research reports and new market ideas.
- Organize company visits and client meetings to develop stronger relationships and express business commitment.
- Reactivate dormant institutions by continuously interacting with them through order flow and brokerage offerings.
- Ensure full compliance with Deal Desk processes, Exchange regulatory requirements, and risk surveillance.
- Manage orders promptly and ensure efficient execution of transactions and trade reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience and Industry Knowledge
- Proven experience in institutional sales trading or equity dealing within the capital markets.
- Strong track record in nurturing relationships with large corporate entities and institutional investors.
- Experience in handling empanelment processes for Mutual Funds, Insurance companies, and Banks.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian equity markets, regulatory norms, and Exchange protocols.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional client servicing and relationship management skills.
- Ability to interpret research reports and translate them into actionable trade ideas for clients.
- Strong understanding of risk management, surveillance, and deal desk processes.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for pitching to C-suite and institutional stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and revive dormant business accounts.
- High level of integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements lead by Exchanges and Auditors.
