Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for all new and existing investment opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and macroeconomic indicators to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Structure and review complex transactions to ensure compliance with internal risk frameworks and regulations.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and the CIO to provide actionable insights on credit exposures.
- Monitor and report on credit risk metrics, including stress testing and scenario analysis for the portfolio.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and market developments.
- Ensure all activities safeguard portfolio quality and support prudent investment decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- CFA certification is highly preferred for this strategic role.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in credit risk analysis.
- Experience should be within investment banking, rating agencies, asset management, or pension funds.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of fixed income products, structured finance, and alternative investments.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, credit rating methodologies, and risk management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
