Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic investment ideas and market insights based on detailed sector and company research.
- Coordinate with equity research analysts to understand and communicate sector developments to clients.
- Support institutional clients with research reports, earnings updates, and management conference calls.
- Track ongoing market trends and macroeconomic indicators that impact stock performance.
- Interpret complex research reports to present actionable investment ideas to institutional clients.
- Manage interactions between clients and company management to facilitate deeper investment understanding.
- Utilize financial data platforms to enhance the quality of research and presentation materials.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA in Finance, CFA, or equivalent qualifications will be considered an added advantage.
- A minimum of 2 to 8 years of experience in Institutional Equity Sales or Equity Research.
- Proven experience specifically within the sell-side environment of the capital markets industry.
Skills and Sector Expertise
- Strong understanding of equity markets, financial analysis, and listed company dynamics.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills for institutional client interaction.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience or exposure in sectors like Capital Goods, Defence, Pharma, or BFSI is preferred.
- Exposure to Infrastructure, IT, Chemicals, and EMS sectors will also be highly valued.
- Proficiency in financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Reuters is a preferred skill.
