Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pricing and associated data analytics; set and periodically update pricing bases.
- Contribute to the design of new products and reinsurance structures.
- Ensure timely delivery of quotes in adherence to quality standards.
- Draft proposals and treaty documentation.
- Research and develop new areas of pricing expertise as required.
- Assist in the review of business and product mandates for compliance with local business requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate pricing documentation.
- Interact with clients to resolve data-related issues, ensuring accuracy in pricing.
- Participate in project-based activities as needed.
- Manage internal reporting documentation requirements on time.
- Ensure compliance with Reinsurer’s internal standards.
- Analyse and monitor the performance of existing business.
- Identify, assess, measure, and manage insurance risk effectively, ensuring timely reporting.
- Foster professional development within the team, promoting a culture of excellence and creating a desirable workplace.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Qualified actuary with membership in a globally recognised actuarial association.
- At least 10 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance/financial services, with expertise in pricing being a definite plus.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Macros, MS Word, and actuarial software (e.g., Axis experience is strongly preferred).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams, negotiate, and influence stakeholders effectively.
