We are hiring a Business Analyst specialising in Control Testing for a leading consulting firm. This role is part of their fast-growing Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) team. This is a high-growth area with exciting opportunities for professional development and leadership.

As part of the FSRM practice, you will collaborate with professionals from risk management, regulatory, quantitative, and technology backgrounds to deliver integrated solutions to leading capital market participants worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct control testing including Design Effectiveness Testing (DET) and Operating Effectiveness Testing (OET) to assess processes, risks, and controls.
  • Perform Risk Assurance engagements with a focus on ESG frameworks and climate-related reporting standards.
  • Define test approaches, scenarios, and test cases, and execute test strategies for regulatory systems or applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
  • Perform Issue Validation by monitoring remediation timelines and conducting re-tests after remediation.
  • Conduct QC checks to ensure adherence to control testing principles and standards.
  • Provide insights to senior management through effective communication and detailed documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Risk & ESG Expertise: Strong understanding of ESG processes, associated risks, and controls.
  • Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SQL, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Agile & Waterfall: Familiarity with requirements definition and testing methodologies in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, especially when engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong documentation, facilitation, and presentation skills with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
  • Experience in internal audits, control testing, and managing complex risk-related projects.
