Java Backend Engineer

A Leading Professional Services Firm is seeking a high-performing Java Backend Engineer to architect robust, scalable backend systems.

The Java Backend Engineer must combine deep software engineering fundamentals in Data Structures and Algorithms with advanced low-latency system design capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable backend applications using modern Java frameworks.
• Apply Data Structures and Algorithms to design optimized software solutions for high-throughput enterprise systems.
• Architect distributed, highly available backend architectures adhering to Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Develop clean, maintainable, modular, and well-tested code supported by comprehensive unit test coverage.
• Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams to establish backend technical specifications and schemas.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, analyze bottlenecks, and optimize application query performance.
• Conduct structured code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior engineers on engineering best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ Years of dedicated software development experience specializing in Java backend engineering.
• Expert-level understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP principles, and concurrency management.
• Demonstrated expertise in System Design, microservices architecture, and distributed system development.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, relational databases, caching solutions, messaging frameworks, and Linux environments.
