Role Title: P&C Pricing Actuary Manager

Employer: Leading Insurance Consulting Group

Required Experience: 6–10 Years

Location: Gurugram

Date published: 25 September 2026

A Leading Insurance Consulting Group is seeking a commercially minded P&C Pricing Actuary Manager at the Assistant Manager or Manager level to join its Global Actuarial and Analytics practice. In this client-facing advisory position, you will act as a subject matter expert for commercial and specialty lines pricing across US, UK, and European insurance markets. Furthermore, you will lead rate-making projects, develop rating plans, and support statutory product filings. Consequently, this role is essential for helping global insurers, MGAs, and reinsurers drive underwriting profitability.

The P&C Pricing Actuary Manager must combine solid actuarial credentials with proven experience in actuarial modernization and predictive modeling. Working alongside underwriting headers, chief actuaries, and data engineering squads, you will modernize legacy spreadsheet models using Python, R, and automated analytics workflows. Therefore, the organization is looking for a qualified or nearly qualified actuary who communicates technical findings clearly to senior executives. If you want to steer advanced pricing initiatives on a global stage, this role offers an ideal track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial and specialty lines pricing engagements for insurers, MGAs, and Lloyd’s syndicates across US and UK markets.
  • Build, review, and calibrate dynamic pricing models, rating plans, and loss cost algorithms across specialty portfolios.
  • Establish and enforce model governance standards, including technical documentation, assumption logs, and peer validation.
  • Execute portfolio monitoring, rate adequacy analyses, loss ratio reviews, and disruption studies to detect risk early.
  • Modernize actuarial workflows by designing automated data pipelines and digital pricing solutions using Python, R, and SQL.
  • Support client teams through complex rate filings, regulatory compliance submissions, and underwriting strategy reviews.
  • Present actuarial findings, pricing recommendations, and market insights directly to Chief Actuaries and C-suite leaders.
  • Manage and mentor a distributed delivery squad of actuarial analysts, students, and predictive modeling specialists.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary through the IFoA, CAS, IAI, or equivalent international actuarial body.
  • 6-10 Years of property and casualty pricing experience, with solid exposure to commercial lines in the US, UK, or Europe.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pricing model development, rate-making, experience rating, and regulatory filing processes.
  • Strong programming capability in Python, R, SAS, or SQL, alongside advanced Excel and modern analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in client management, actuarial process automation, and leading distributed project teams.
