A Leading Life Insurance Company is seeking an analytical Shareholder Reporting DM at the Deputy Manager level to join its Actuarial department. In this core actuarial reporting position, you will take responsibility for calculating and reporting New Business Margins (NBM) and preparing long-range actuarial business plans. Furthermore, you will analyze profit emergence, identify deviations in actual revenue accounts against operating plans, and deliver actionable financial commentary. The Shareholder Reporting DM must combine solid progress in professional actuarial examinations with practical life insurance financial modeling skills in Prophet, DCS, Excel VBA, and SQL. Working closely with Valuation, Pricing, Finance, and Investment teams, you will project future solvency positions, evaluate the financial impact of new product proposals, and build interactive Power BI dashboards. Therefore, the company is looking for a detail-oriented actuarial professional who handles large datasets accurately. If you want to advance your actuarial career in shareholder reporting, this position offers an ideal path.

- Present margin results, profitability metrics, and detailed financial commentary to executive management.
- Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and management reporting tools to facilitate data-driven business decisions.
- Formulate 5-year long-range plans, Annual Operating Plans (AOP), and latest quarterly profit estimates for the company.
- Project future revenue accounts, solvency ratios, and margin trajectories incorporating inputs from cross-functional teams.
- Analyze sources of earnings, isolate profit deviations between actuals and AOP, and document explanatory findings.
- Evaluate the financial viability and profitability impact of proposed new product launches and distribution channel initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Mandatory qualification: Successful completion of at least 5-6 actuarial papers from IAI or IFoA.
- 3-4 Years of professional actuarial experience, preferably within an Indian Life Insurance company.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with Prophet actuarial software, DCS, advanced Excel VBA, and SQL or MS Access.
- Strong analytical reasoning, financial modeling capabilities, and effective cross-departmental communication skills.
