Cloud Network Migration Lead

A Leading Global Payment Technology Solutions Provider is seeking an experienced Cloud Network Migration Lead to direct the migration of mission-critical applications from on-premises data centers to Amazon Web Services. In this high-impact technical leadership role, you will map on-premises Juniper and Cisco network configurations to cloud-native AWS networking services. Furthermore, you will architect secure Transit Gateways, Direct Connect links, and VPC routing architectures to ensure minimal cutover downtime. Consequently, this position is vital for accelerating cloud transformation and network modernization.

The Cloud Network Migration Lead must combine deep on-premises routing and firewall expertise with advanced AWS cloud networking and infrastructure automation capabilities. Leading a team of network specialists, you will establish testing strategies for failover redundancy, mentor engineers, and author technical runbooks. Therefore, the group is looking for a consultative technical lead who coordinates with cross-functional SRE and development squads seamlessly. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural planning, design, and execution of network migrations from on-premises Juniper systems to AWS.
• Map and re-architect existing Juniper and Cisco configurations to AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Enforce enterprise network security controls, including cloud firewall configurations, NACLs, security groups, and DDoS defenses.
• Oversee comprehensive pre- and post-migration network testing to validate throughput, high availability, and failover capabilities.
• Guide and mentor network engineers in troubleshooting hybrid cloud connectivity issues and optimizing routing performance.
• Author detailed technical documentation, migration runbooks, and operational guidelines for hybrid network architectures.
• Implement network automation workflows using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or an allied branch.
• 10+ Years of network engineering experience across Cisco or Juniper estates, including 2-3 years in a technical leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and executing enterprise network migrations from on-prem to AWS.
• Deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, IPsec/SSL VPNs, AWS Direct Connect, VPC peering, and AWS Transit Gateway.
• Professional certifications preferred: Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
