A Leading Banking Institution is seeking a highly skilled Senior Abinitio Engineer to join its Group Fraud Technology team in Bengaluru. In this critical data engineering position, you will lead software development lifecycle activities, translating business objectives into high-performing data processing architectures. Furthermore, you will take responsibility for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions to enhance the Group Fraud Management Platform. Consequently, this role is essential for safeguarding financial transactions and maintaining operational excellence across banking platforms.
The Senior Abinitio Engineer must combine extensive programming experience in Ab Initio with deep expertise in both batch and continuous flow architectures. Working within an agile environment, you will manage complex Oracle SQL queries, Linux shell scripts, and automated CI/CD pipelines while providing Level 3+ technical support. Therefore, the group is looking for an engineering mentor who guides junior team members and enforces industry best practices seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
- Lead software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities including design, development, testing, deployment, and evaluation.
- Analyze software data specifications to translate business goals into scalable technical implementation components.
- Design, program, and maintain high-volume data pipelines using Ab Initio GDE across Batch and Continuous Flows.
- Lead Level 3+ technical support, complex system troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for fraud management applications.
- Perform data aggregation, standardization, record linking, data quality checks, and automated reporting generation.
- Write and optimize complex database queries using Oracle SQL alongside Linux/Unix shell scripts.
- Estimate technical development effort and resource allocations for new platform features and system enhancements.
- Manage code versioning via GitHub and integrate automated software builds into enterprise CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and champion industry best practices across the engineering team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or an allied discipline.
- 7-12 Years of professional experience with a mandatory minimum of 8+ years of hands-on programming experience in Ab Initio.
- Proven core expertise in Ab Initio GDE, Batch and Continuous processing, Linux/Unix scripting, and Oracle SQL.
- Demonstrated background in software development effort estimation, technical mentoring, and Level 3+ support execution.
- Desirable: Domain knowledge of Banking/BFSI systems, exposure to Group Fraud platforms, and CI/CD automation.
