Senior Test Engineer

A Leading Technology Services Firm is seeking a highly technical Senior Test Engineer to join its quality engineering vertical in Bengaluru. In this hands-on automation role, you will take full responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks across enterprise applications. Furthermore, you will execute integration testing, validate complex API endpoints, and ensure seamless system messaging integrations. Consequently, this position is crucial for maintaining software reliability, expanding test coverage, and accelerating release cycles.

The Senior Test Engineer must combine strong programming capabilities in Java, Python, or TypeScript with a disciplined approach to integration validation. Operating within an agile ecosystem, you will utilize Unix/Linux systems for script execution and partner closely with development and operations teams to estimate effort for new features. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Perform comprehensive API testing and validate integration data streams using Kafka and Message Queue (MQ) systems.
• Execute end-to-end integration testing across complex, multi-tiered enterprise application environments.
• Utilize Unix/Linux command-line interfaces for test execution, environment configuration, and log troubleshooting.
• Develop and deploy high-quality test automation solutions with comprehensive code and scenario coverage.
• Calculate testing effort estimates for upcoming application features, enhancements, and system releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product, development, and operations squads to drive continuous quality assurance.
• Integrate automated test execution suites into enterprise CI/CD deployment pipelines to enable continuous testing.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related quantitative fields.
• 7-12 Years of overall software testing experience, with 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Proven core expertise in API testing, messaging queue architectures (Kafka/MQ), and multi-system integration testing.
• Solid command over Unix/Linux command-line operations and automated test framework design principles.
• Nice to have: Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or RestAssured, and CI/CD pipelines.
